The word diamond consists of two Greek words: diaphainein = shine through and adamantos = the undomitable. The diamond consists of carbon and receives a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it the hardest admitted material.
But the diamond is far more than that! It had always a special meaning and a magic effect. In the old Egypt it symbolized the sun and the Indians believed that the stone protects the warriors before dangers and gives them the necessary strength.
Nowadays the diamond is carried mainly as jewellery and is the symbol of love. Classically timeless, of high value and breath-taking the diamond is used in as many creations as the fantasy permits.
