| The Oscars 2011. Los Angeles: The night of the stars! Moderation of the 83th Oscars: Anne Hathaway, dressed graceful, decorated with the ’Lucida Star’ 94,29 Carat Diamond and platinum necklace from Tiffany & Co., valued at $10 Million; along with 10,15 Carat Diamond earrings and a 5,13 Carat platinum and Diamond Ring. The US-American actor Anne Hathaway is with her 28 years of age the youngest hostess in the history of the presentation of the Oscars. Together with her colleague James Franco she moderated the night of February 27th 2011 in Los Angeles brilliantly. The breathtaking diamond jewellery was conspicuous. During the ‘Night of the Nights’ Tiffany & Co.’s almost 100 Carat ‘Lucida Star’ was the spotlight. It’s surely worth thunderous applause when ‘The King’s Speech’ gets four Oscars right away for being the best movie, best production (Tom Hooper), best main actor (Colin Firth) and the best original screenplay. Or applause for Natalie Portman for her role in ‘Black Swan’. If there would be an Oscar for the ‘best outfit’ surely the ’Love and other Drugs’ actress Anne Hathaway would get it with ‘her’ Lucida Star Diamond - without any doubt, New York’s famous jewellery company Tiffany & Co. as well. Because there is always and everywhere jealousy, it’s no surprise that soon rumours circulated that Anne Hathaway got paid $750.000 just to wear the noble jewellery. But let’s make it clear: Those rumours are most likely not true. The Israeli internet website ’The Israeli Diamond Industry’ reported that Tiffany & Co. denied the rumour. Tiffany’s PR and Marketing Manager, as well as the Director of Press Marketing told that the reports from ‘US Weekly’ were ‘incorrect’. By the way: Also Natalie Portman wore Tiffany-jewellery in the Oscar night. Natalie Portman, recently engaged to Benjamin Millepied, whom she met while filming ‘Black Swan’, wore an ’Eco’-diamond engagement ring - a band made of recycled platinum with an antique central diamond and certified ‘conflict-free’ small diamonds. |
